Galaxy Inspired Background with Distress Ink

Hey hey,

So I was playing around with some idea’s to try out things with Distress Ink to make a night sky background. I ended up trying to make this Northern Lights or Galaxy type background I wanted to use for making Christmas Cards. Sadly the snowflakes I stamped and embossed on the piece of card stock I used to make the background didn’t really stick.

Overall it took me a while but in the end I’m rather happy with the actual result. So if you like what I made all you need is some Distress Ink colors including black and a lot of patience.

I also filmed the entire process and narrowed it down quiet a lot into a tutorial, here is the finished result:

Materials:

Distress Ink mini: Shaded Lilac

 

Distress Ink mini: Spun Sugar

 

Distress Ink mini: Salty Ocean

 

Distress Ink mini: Tumbled Glass

 

Distress Ink mini: Black Soot
