Zimtalor was an elven mage and his wife Aurelia an elven priestess. One night they heard a report of a giant creature roaming and terrorizing Tanea. The pair took their daughter Deirah and a group of highly trained elves and travelled to their homeland Tanea. It took them weeks to track the creature through the woodlands but eventually they found it. It was a  giant centipede and it was on its way to Ossar, a small village both of them were born in. The group attempted to stop the creature that was twisted by Ghor, growing larger with everything it devoured and reeking of dark magic before it would reach Ossar, but they failed. Aurelia was stung by one of the many poisonous spikes on the creatures back and died a slow and painful dead that took the whole night. No matter what they tried they couldn’t safe her.

Struck with grief and blinded by rage Zimtalor struck at the creature the next day, he drew on more power than his body could handle as one by one his fellow elves died in the fight. With his last energy he teleported the remaining elves away to a safe distant, his daughter among them. Then he drew in as much power he could get from the land until there was an explosion that destroyed the centipede and formed a crater where once the village stood. From this day on the place is known as the Ossar crater.

Shortly after this Deirah and the other elves who survived founded the Ahn’Ghor. A monument to her parents as she swore to not rest until every last trace of Ghor had been wiped of the planet.
