The last gnome settlement

Tonkor was a small island mostly inhabited by gnomes. The smaller race lived there in peace and was happily tinkering away working on their inventions when there was a large earthquake devastating the small island. The following days the wildlife of the island started growing out of control and attacking the gnome settlements and small villages. One by one they were destroyed and many gnomes fled the island.

Milimi was a young gnome warrior who was determined to protect her home. Along with a small group of adventurers she travelled to Tonkor and started investigating what was happening to her island. They soon discovered that the biggest lake on the island was corrupted by Ghor and all the animals drinking from it either died or got corrupted.

But the local plant life surrounding  the lake was also being corrupted by Ghor and coming to live. One of Milimi her party was a young druid who could cleanse the corruption from the soil, but in order to truly remove the corruption they needed to find and kill all the remaining corrupted wildlife and plant life before they would corrupt more of the island.

It was a slow and long process and eventually Milimi parted ways with the rest of the group to march towards the last remaining gnome settlement. It was said to be attacked by something very large and while the druid performed a cleansing ritual nearby, the rest of the party would kill off the last smaller corrupted creatures.

Milimi marched on the gates of the last standing gnome settlement just as a large corrupted treant breached the wall. The fight destroyed nearly half of the settlement but Milimi managed to slowly climb the many branches of the treant and make her way to its heart. She took a large axe and started cutting away at the heart of the treant, refusing to stop until it was completely shattered. With a last devastating blow the treant fell to the ground crushing Milimi under its weight.

What remained of the last gnome settlement was saved, but the small hero didn’t make it.
